Genau Fresh Air 20L air humidifier.

Device description

Operating principle

The air humidifier works by dispersing very fine water particles. The device generates vibration at 1.7 million oscillations per second to create water particles 1-5 microns in size and distributes them evenly through the vent.

Operating the device

Remote control

When the device is first plugged into a socket, the LCD display lights up (for about 1 second), then only the «⏻» indicator stays on and the device goes into standby mode.

ON/OFF

Press the “POWER” button to switch the device on. The LCD display shows the current humidity level and temperature. The backlight comes on and the pump starts drawing water from the tank into the drain basin. This takes about 2.5 minutes, during which all functions of the device are unavailable. When the water has been drawn in, the device starts spraying mist at level 2, and the other functions become available again.

MIST

Press the button to select the spray intensity level from 1 to 3. The display shows the selected level.

HUMIDITY

Press the button to set the target humidity from 45% to 95%. Each press increases the humidity level by 5%. When the set value is reached, the humidifier switches off automatically. If the humidity level drops by more than 5%, the device resumes operation in this mode.

TIMER / SLEEP MODE

Press the button to set the mist atomizer timer from 1 to 12 hours. The set time is shown on the display. When the operating time ends, the humidifier switches off automatically. The timer cannot be set if there is no water in the device.

Press and hold the button to switch on sleep mode. The LED display turns off after blinking three times. Pressing any button in sleep mode takes the device out of this mode and the display lights up again.

UV / AUTOMATIC MODE

Press the button to switch the UV sterilizer lamp on/off.

Press and hold the button to switch on automatic mode.

This mode is intended for sleep: the mist level is adjusted automatically according to the ambient humidity, and the display brightness is reduced to 50%. Press any button except «On/Off» to light up the display again and switch off automatic mode.

In this mode, at an ambient humidity of:

• below 40%, mist level 3 is set
• 41-60% – level 2
• 61-70% – level 1
• above 70%, mist spraying stops automatically

LIGHT / WATER LEVEL LIGHT

Press the button to switch on the backlight. The first press switches on auto mode, in which the light colors change periodically. Press again to select a specific color. There are 6 options in total: red, yellow, blue, pink, green and white. Press once more to switch the backlight mode off completely.

Press and hold the button for 5 seconds to switch the water level light on/off.

Ultraviolet sterilization

Advantages of the UV sterilizer lamp

1. Does not produce toxic or harmful by-products and does not exceed the content of assimilable organic carbon in the water.
2. Has high bactericidal efficiency, which ensures safe and reliable operation.
3. Disinfection depends on the water temperature and is more effective at a low pH level.
4. Can reduce unpleasant odors.
5. Low energy consumption.

Precautions for use

This device contains a UV lamp. Improper use of the device or damage to the UV lamp may cause hazardous radiation. Even a small amount of UV radiation can damage the eyes and skin.

1. Do not open the cover while UV radiation is in use, to avoid harming the eyes and skin.
2. Turbidity of the water and solid particles in it strongly affect UV sterilization, namely they block the passage of ultraviolet light during sterilization. To prevent a reduction in the disinfection effect, clean the drain basin regularly and change the water.
3. Children are prohibited from operating the device; please keep it out of reach of children.
4. Before using the device, make sure that the UV lamp cover is not damaged.
5. If the UV lamp is damaged, do not use the device. Contact a service center for repair.
6. Be careful when cleaning or using the device so as not to damage the UV lamp.

Step 1

Replacing the batteries: press and remove the battery. Place a CR2025+ lithium battery on top.

Using the remote control: the remote works within 5 meters at an angle of about 45 degrees.

Using the product

Two ways to fill with water

Step 1

Method 1. Remove the housing and fill the tank with water. THIS IS THE RECOMMENDED METHOD.

Method 2. Open the cover and pour water directly into the drain basin; the water flows down into the tank.

Care and cleaning

1. Before cleaning, make sure the device is not operating and is disconnected from the mains.
2. Clean all parts with a soft cloth; never use hard objects for cleaning.
3. Change the water in the tank and wash it every day to prevent bacteria from developing.
4. Do not use chemical detergents to clean the device.
5. Clean and dry the device if you do not plan to use it for a long time.
6. It is recommended to replace the water filter every 6 months (if the product model includes the corresponding part).

Attention

1. Use the device at a room temperature of 5 to 40°C; to fill it, use clean water with a temperature below 45°C.
2. Do not pour water into the air vent or the nozzle.
3. The water level in the tank must not exceed the maximum mark.
4. Do not let water get into the air vent when draining water from the drain basin.
5. Do not remove the cover while the device is operating. Do not touch the water in the drain basin, to avoid accidents.
6. This device is intended for indoor use only. Please place it on a level floor. It is not recommended to place it on wooden surfaces, as moisture may damage them.
7. The power cord must not be damaged, tied in knots or pinched by heavy objects. Otherwise this may lead to electric shock, a short circuit or fire.
8. During a thunderstorm or when not in use for a long time, disconnect the device from the power source.
9. If the device has fallen and water has got inside the housing, switch it off and let it dry, then contact a service center.
10. Keep children away from the device.
11. Place the humidifier 0.5 meters away from furniture, electrical appliances, walls or any heat source.
12. Be careful when you take the drain basin out of the tank — a small amount of residual water may seep through the overflow protection hole.
13. When you top up the tank, do not exceed the MAX mark, otherwise excess water will spill out of the hole on the back of the tank.
14. When moving the device, be careful and make sure that water does not leak from the hole in the tank.

Descaling method

With long-term use, scale forms on the drain basin and the vibrating plate, which hinders the spraying effect. It is therefore recommended to remove scale every week.

1. Pour the descaling agent into the water tank, add warm water (about 60°C), let the descaling agent dissolve completely and wait 5-10 minutes.
2. Clean the wall of the drain basin and the vibrating plate of dirt with a soft brush or a clean cloth.
3. Pour out the water carefully, avoiding it getting into the housing through the air vent, which can cause a short circuit and damage the electronic board.

Attention! Safety measures

• Do not disassemble, repair or modify the device without the appropriate qualification.
• Keep the device out of reach of children. Do not allow them to use or operate the device.
• In case of a malfunction, disconnect the device from the mains and contact a service center.
• Unplug the device from the socket when filling it with water or cleaning it.
• If the power cord is damaged or the device has fallen, contact a service center.
• When disposing of this product, please cut off the power cord and separate the other accessible components.
• Before using the device, make sure that the plug is not damaged.
• Make sure that the voltage of the power source meets the rated voltage requirements of this device.
• Do not immerse the device in water; do not touch the humidifier with wet hands.
• Keep the device away from heat sources.
